Text alert terms

The program

One Hour is the scheduling app for the Heritage Church of Christ prayer line, (615) 787-7299. Volunteers on the prayer line team can choose to get text alerts from (615) 787-7299:

• when someone calls during their hour and no one is able to answer, so they can listen to any message and return the call;
• occasional scheduling notices, such as an hour that needs someone to cover it.

We send no marketing, promotional or fundraising messages. Every text starts with “One Hour (Heritage Church of Christ):”.

Who can sign up

Only members of the church’s prayer line volunteer team. Texts are off until a volunteer turns them on in One Hour by checking the consent box and tapping Turn on text alerts. Opting in is optional: volunteers can use One Hour without text alerts.

How often, and what it costs

Message frequency varies, typically a few messages a month. Message and data rates may apply, according to your mobile plan. Heritage Church of Christ does not charge for these texts.

Stopping and getting help

• Reply STOP to any text to stop receiving them. You’ll get one confirmation, then no more texts.
• Reply START to turn alerts back on.
• Reply HELP for help, or email the church office at [email protected].
• You can also turn text alerts off or on at any time in One Hour.

Delivery

Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Alerts are a convenience: please don’t rely on them alone for anything urgent.
